Harwich Golf Committee Reviews FY27 Fee Increases
Other Committee · Meeting of September 15, 2026
Harwich Golf Committee opens the door to yearly rate hikes to cover mounting debt. Golf Director Roman presented a proposed 2027 fee schedule raising the resident annual pass by $50 and the non-resident pass by $100, plus a $25 young-adult increase, $8 more for weekend green fees and $2 on large range buckets. The increases would feed a debt-service surcharge fund projected to grow from $160,000 to $210,000, financing a six-year irrigation overhaul mobilizing this fall and future bunker and maintenance-building replacements.
One member pressed for clearer communication with members, saying, "It was acknowledged, we did this way in the past, but we're changing for a reason." Roman also reported two vendors, GolfNow and Lightspeed, submitted bids for new golf-management software, with a contract decision expected within the week.
