Select Board · Meeting of November 2, 2026

HARWICH — The Select Board unanimously accepted findings of no violation for The Port and Perks Coffee and Beer Garden. Town Administrator Jay McGrail, who served as hearing officer, said officers credibly heard music off premises but the record did not show a nuisance, adding "There is a problem in Harwich Port." He asked to work with the police chief and town counsel on revised noise rules, hoping to return before the end of the year. The board also approved a seven-member, two-alternate Zoning Work Group task force and a $234,818 contract with BSC Group for upper Coldbrook fish passage design, funded by a USDA NRCS agreement.

Fire Chief Dave LeBlanc reported 1,012 ambulance calls since July 1.
